First owned and purchased New by Baron King of Bridgewater who was the Secretary of State For Northern Ireland in Margaret Thatchers Goverment. From the history folder it seems it was kept under his ownership for around 20-22 years until he sold it to the company/ second owner who we are led to believe restored the car to the immaculate condition it is in today, the plot thickens because in the history folder it reads that the number plate it carried and the first owner was marked for deletion from DVLA records for secrecy reasons at the time, it was then changed and now sits on its new registration plate SPE63L or (SPECIAL as we read it and see it !!) now only showing 1 former keeper and a Cold War Top Secretive past adds to a lovely story of this one off car . Finally to top it all this superb car has been displayed in the Mercedes Benz World Museum and featured in the Mercedes Enthusiasts magazine in 2008, the car has been stored in our private collection.
