1937 Vauxhall 14 DX Saloon S2 "Tourer" so called as for an extra £5 you got a small luggage boot ! The power unit is a straight six being 1701 cc , Beautiful and smooth . The paper work I have claims a complete engine and gearbox rebuild along with a recored radiator , re trimmed leather seating and new carpets . Looking at and driving the Vauxhall defiantly backs up the paper work . The DX range of Vauxhalls were introduced in the mid 1930, s to bring Vauxhall back into the family saloon market and at around £230 it was a popular car , Smooth six cylinder motor , Independent front suspension and a roomy interior made it stand out in its class .
