Description
Vauxhall Velox PB – Owned 45 Years/ Very Rare
The final version of the Velox was launched at the London Motor Show in October 1962. The well-appointed saloon, with 2, 600cc straight six engine, column change/ bench-seat and strong trans-Atlantic styling was in direct competition with the Ford Zephyr/ Zodiac and the new model proved popular with press and public alike
Milestones are delighted to market this extremely rare PB Velox that has been with the current keeper, a Garage owner, for over 45 years. Initially the car was an everyday car for work and pleasure and later spent time on the Isle of Wight at the families holiday home.
The large history file indicates that in 1990 a programme of restoration was initiated with engine/ gear-box and rear axle being recondition. The bodywork and structure of the car also received attention with panels and remedial work as required and finally a high quality resprayed in the original colour of Forest Green.
Today the car has covered just 15, 000 since the restoration. On the road she is a real ‘cruiser’ with straight six burble that easily keeps up with modern traffic and a lovely original interior that takes you straight back to 1964
The ‘Big' Vauxhall's from the 1950/ 1960's offer stunning styling, straight six soundtrack and a level of long distance comfort that we love.....
Equally at home on a European road trip or a run out to the local pub we urge early viewing in order to fully appreciate this remarkable survivor.
