MGB Mk1 – Pull-Handle & Overdrive
The original MGB Roadster is one of the most recognisable British sports cars ever manufactured. It brought affordable fun to the open road when launched in 1962 and over the next 18 years over 500, 000 cars were sold.
Our early pull-handle roadster was manufactured during September 1964, was registered in Bath on 25th March 1965. It is one of the earliest roadsters we have had through Milestones and is the classic combination of British Racing Green, chrome bumpers, wire wheels, black/ white piped interior and non-reversing light body-shell is stunning
On the road the car drives extremely well with good oil pressure, factory handling (unlike many restored cars that squeak/ rattle) and absolutely no untoward mechanical noises or smoke. The cylinder head has been upgraded for unleaded fuel and the overdrive unit engages & disengages quickly.
The body work presents extremely well with no evidence of corrosion on wing seams, doors bottoms or sills, outstanding panel fit and the BRG paint is stunning. The interior is equally as good with original specification seat covers/ foams, door cards, carpets hood and benefits from a folding hood frame.
In summary, this is a rare opportunity to own an early, unmolested, MGB Roadster with a huge history folder that drives as good as he looks.
We expect the car to find an appreciative new home to cherish her very quickly…
