This 500SEC is finished in Almandine Red with complimenting Navarra Red lower, contrasted by Mushroom leather interior. It features electric heated seats, cruise control and air conditioning.
The SEC was first sold by Malaya Mercedes, Crawley in the beginning of 1989 and has covered 92k miles from new. A new speedo had to be fitted at 62k miles, however this is documented within the history, so the current mileage is shown as 30, 366 miles.
All the original books/ manuals and tools come with the car along with a full service history from MB main dealers and specialists.
In recent years a great deal has been invested into this car ensuring it performs as it should. Recent work has included cylinder head rebuilds, A/ C system rebuild, replacement transmission fluid and seals, replacement diff seals plus a full rebuild/ replacement of the fuel injection system, new brakes and fitted four new Dunlop tyres. The result is that the car drives beautifully. An SEC like this in fine fettle is the perfect long distance touring car and this example proves the point.
The body has benefitted from a complete repaint, correct repair of the panel under the rear window along with a new rear screen and rubber. As a result, the body is exceptional with unmarked bumper chromes and superb brightwork.
The interior is very good with soft Mushroom leather, bright walnut and original ribbed over-mats.
