Description

With a heavy heart, for sale is my 64 Parisienne.
A bit of background... My dad bought this car in 1979 aged 19 and daily drove it. It was a Canadian import. After many adventures, he sold it to a friend of his in need of some work in the late 80s. Over the course of the 90s and early 00s said friend set about restoring the car. He had the metalwork sorted as necessary and had the car painted. He bought many new parts and upgrades including a front brake disc conversion that were never fitted but still present. The car was sadly never reassembled and sat freshly painted under a tarp on his driveway until I bought it in 2014 with a view to putting it back together.
5 years have passed and I’ve done nothing with it bar pull the heads on the 283 SBC that dad had originally built. You’ll see from the pics the motor is in a sorry state and will require a full rebuild. It’s mated to a TH350 that dad retrofitted in the 80s (replacing the factory Powerglide).
I have moved the thing 7 times in 5 years and it’s just in the way and deserves a better home. I own and have bought back other of my parents old cars that hold higher sentimental value to me whereas I have no real emotional attachment to this so have decided to let it go to a more deserving home. I just know I won’t have time to look at it for a good few years with various other projects on the go that I’m more interested in.
It is complete as far as I’m aware. There are no major components missing. The passenger rear floor pan has a small hole in it from where water has sat when it was parked under a tarp for 10 years and there a couple of areas of surface rust nothing scary (again - it had all major metalwork done since it was last on the road!). The paint isn’t amazing and it has picked up some dings and scuffs where it has been lugged around during my ownership but I don’t think it really warrants a respray. Would polish up and repaint local areas where required. It is a pretty straight forward project and a very rare car.
