This beautiful final facelift R129 SL320 is finished in the striking combination of Black with Helios (light cream) leather, equipped with the desirable panoramic hardtop and has covered just 44k miles from new backed up by a full and complete service history.
Supplied new by Malaya of Bromley in August 1998, this SL320 has had just four owners from new. The first until 2004. The second, from 2004 until 2013, was the wife of Sky’s golf correspondent and former pro-golfer, Ewen Murray – appropriately it wore the registration N2 PUT. The last two keepers have both been Mercedes enthusiasts/ collectors who have both been fastidious in their care. Supplied by ourselves to the last keeper.
With the car comes all original books/ manuals, two remote keys, tools and a full service record comprising of eleven stamps from MB main dealers and independent specialists – predominantly Malaya of Bromley (the supplying dealer) and John Haynes. Last serviced less than 1000 miles ago. In addition to the stamped service booklet there’s folder of supporting invoices, previous MoT certificates, tax discs, a full list of keepers from the DVLA and a clear HPI Certificate.
As the photographs show, this SL is in incredible, unmarked original condition throughout, thanks to a cossetted life as a garaged, second car. The hood, hardtop, body and interior are all in truly superb order.
The underside is also in beautiful condition and evidently never exposed to winter weather. And the diamond cut wheels are superb and wear matching Dunlop tyres all round.
As you might expect with such a low mileage and careful ownership, this SL drives beautifully – tight, refined and with plenty of power from its V6 engine. All accessories work as intended from the climate control to the power hood.
In summary, a very low mileage, beautifully cared for SL320 with a complete history in rare and elegant colours with the desirable glass roof. A very attractive car indeed.
