This lovely R107 Series Mercedes 300SL was one of the very last to be built in 1989 with fully galvanised panels and was supplied new by Mercedes Benz dealer Jackson Motors (Perth) Ltd and first registered on 23rd June 1989.
It is finished in Artic White with a special order Oxblood Leather interior including Rear Child Seats with Seat belts and it has one of the rare 'Auto Tops (UK) Ltd's Black Mohair 'Electric' Soft Top's fitted, a Factory Hard Top in Artic White, Electric Windows and Passenger Door Mirror, graduated Tinted Windscreen, Kenwood Stereo/ CD Player, Remote Central Locking/ Alarm, 3. 0 Litre straight 6 Fi Engine, 4 Speed Automatic Gearbox with Sport & Economy modes, ABS Brakes, Power Assisted Steering and its original Flat Face Alloy Wheels.
This car has only covered a low and genuine 75, 900 miles from new with a Full and Comprehensive Service History including its original Mercedes plastic wallet containing the Drivers Handbook, Mercedes Workshop Directory, original Jackson's PDi check sheet, Auto Tops Owners Operating Manual, Service Book with 13 stamps, old Tax Disc's, lots of Invoices, MOT Certificates, and 3 sets of Keys/ Remotes.
The current owner purchased the car 11 years ago in February 2008 and he has only covered approx 5, 000 miles since then and only 1, 200 miles in the last 7 years as it has been in storage for most of this time, although it was taken out every year for an MOT test.
We have just had the interior leather re-connolised so it looks almost as new and have carried out some cosmetic paint repairs. We have also put a new MOT on the car which expires in January 2020 and fitted 4 new Avon Tyres, so the car really is in beautiful condition now and it is exceptionally nice to drive. It also has no 'bulkhead' corrosion issues which some of these models suffered from being a late fully galvanised model!
This is a highly desirable car in this rare colour combination and of course it has the benefit of an 'Electric' Roof fitted by the supplying Mercedes dealer when it was new. It is HPi clear on all registers and the mileage is confirmed as genuine by the National Mileage Register, although it has a full service history to prove in any event.
If you want one of the last R107's made and with relatively low mileage compared to most and at a really good price, this has to be a serious contender, plus prices are still continuing to rise!
Upon sale it will be given a pre-sales service and it will come with our own 6 Month Mechanical Warranty which can be extended and upgraded at additional cost if required.
