1959 Mk1 MGA Roadster-Very nice Orient Red roadster with Black roof and Black interior with factory spec wire wheels. Exterior -The Red paintwork and bodywork is very good indeed, having had a restoration in 2009 by MG specialist company. Alot of money spent with receipts in the extensive history file. The brightwork is all in A1 condition having been replaced in restoration with the addition of new period luggage rack and badge bar. The underneath is very clean and has recently had a fresh coat of black Waxoil. The Black hood is also in excellent condition and goes up with ease. With the car is a full tonneau cover with half zip facility and the aluminium sidescreens with sliding glass. They can be stored in the pocketed flap behind the seats when not in use. The original painted wire wheels are again in excellent order having had a recent refurbishment they have new spinners and are shod with full matching radials which have not done many miles. The interior is again excellent and has recently been subject to a full refurbishment. The Black carpets are brand new. Nice to see the original 4 spoke banjo style steering wheel. There are some nice upgrades :The addition of a period amp metre, it now has electric washers, and an additional electric cooling fan for when long tours are on the agenda. Mechanically this MGA was gone thru with a fine tooth comb in 2009 when restored. It received a full engine rebuild inc rebore and cylinder head rebuild. Also the brakes, steering etc a gearbox rebuild was also done. All documented in the extensive history file. The battery was converted to single 12 volt and the car re wired. Most of the ancillaries were also replaced. Though done in 2009 the car is still tight in its handling and a trip round the country lanes was very pleasurable. A recent service has been carried out. This really does feel like a drive anywhere car. My Mga represents fantastic value. Mechanically and cosmetically spot on with some nice upgrades, nice original features in the perfect colour with original wires.
