Description
Welcome to thesale of my Audi TT Mk1 225 BAM Engine in MORO blue 2003. I bought this car to take on a road trip over Easter. Trip done and now I need the space, so have to say goodbye to it. I bought the car from a trader knowing it was previously written off. The damage was to door and wing and repaired by the previous owner. That said this is a great car and very sorted mechanically due to the work I carried out prior to my trip. The car has full service history and I had the Cambelt and Pump replaced at 136, 447 miles on the 24th January 2019. The vehicle is now showing 137, 822 and the current MOT expires September 2019. The V5 is in my name, the vehicle is SORN off road. The interior is a lovely place to be with white nappa leather, matching door cards. Everything works as it should. The car sounds superb since I had the fabricated Powerflow tig welded SS exhaust fitted. It really sets the car off and is not at all intrusive, when in motion. The private plate will be sold with the car.
During my ownership I have
Cambelt and Waterpump 24/ 1/ 19
replaced the external waterpump and rocker gasket invoice for £394:00 dared 25th February 2019.
Daspod overhaul £160 works perfectly
Drivers airbag fault repaired £208 1st February 2019
Fitted fully refurbished BBS Split Rim Alloys total cost of £800 (Excellent tread left on tyres)
Cat Back exhaust system, mandrel ben, tig welded 3inch, resonated Invoice £750 25th January 2019
Refurbished the white Nappa leather interior £250
Replaced heated seat unit drivers side.
Replaced headlight units
New battery
The previous owner
Replaced the clutch (Unable to obtain invoice)
Fitted drilled discs and fully refurbished calipers all round.
The exterior of the car is in rare MORO blue, changes slightly to purple in the sun. Pictures do not do it credit!! I would say that the paint is in average condition, with age related scratches and a couple of small dents that are hard to see unless up close to the vehicle. If I was keeping the car I would gone for a full respray. However, the bumper had extensive stone chips, so I had that repainted at a cost of £200,
All in all this is a very sorted car and excellent for day to day driving or for a blast at the weekend, Fuel consumption is excellent, everything works inside the car and the BOSE system sounds superb. I obtained the radio code and bought stereo removal pins, should the radio need to be removed, or the battery disconnected. I have an assortment of MOT certificates but VOSA records are online.
There is a great opportunity for someone to own the TT or buy it to break and make a fair bit on the parts. I have contemplated breaking the car, as the wheels, engine/ gearbox. exhaust and interior would give an excellent immediate return. Unfortunately I don't have time and have another classic project that is currently taking up most of my time. Having said that if the car does not reach the reserve I will roll it in to my garage and begin to break.
I had a presale check over of the car by my mechanic last week. He replaced the rear O/ S trailing arm as a precaution. The only other fault I know of is the bumper headlight washers not working. I have a identified the faulty unit and a replacement will go with the car. I also have a set of MORO blue doors (with mirrors/ windows) and a MORO blue bonnet.
