Description
This is a now very rare Berkeley T60 three wheel trike.
It was first registered in 1961.
It is fitted with the correct Excelsior Talisman 328cc twin cylinder, air cooled, 2 stroke engine and the gearbox has 4 forward and reverse gear. Starts on the button with the Dynostart electric starter.
It was part of The Glasgow Transport Museum Collection for many years and was disposed of when the new riverside Museum was due to open.
The current owner embarked on a full body off restoration between 2013-14 including repairs to the punt, with new re-fabricated heavier gauge steel side members being fitted. The bodywork was also restored as well as an overhaul of the engine and all running gear. A new hood has also been fabricated but there are currently no sidescreens.
The car won first prize at The Ladybank Classic Car show in Fife at it's first outing in 2016.
This is an easy, fun car to drive and with it's classic sports car looks attracts a lot of attention.
The mileometer reads 38, 243 which may not be genuine, however, given that it has spent so many years in the museum and it could well be genuine.
The registered mark 37KGG is transferable and has been valued at £2000. It will not be sold separately.
Offers of around £8, 500 are invited and further information can be obtained by contacting Ben
The car is based in central Scotland near to Glasgow and assistance can be given with delivery.
