An original GT from 1966! It is not often you come across a genuine GT Mustang Fastback from 1966 still having all the correct upgrades.
This Mustang was built in Ford Dearborn Michigan’s Factory on the 17th March 1966 and was sold in the district of Phoenix Arizona where it obviously spent most of its life due to the condition of the chassis and underside. The desert climate keeping it rock solid. It was ordered in Signal Flare Red with black seats and interior which it is still dressed in. Being a GT, it benefitted from the increased power unit, matted to the four-speed manual gearbox. Power steering and disc brakes were also standard. Rally pack instrumentation adorns the steering column. Also, in that climate Air Conditioning would have been a necessity. This Mustang benefits from an older restoration but over the last few years, it has had over £18, 000 spent on all mechanical areas making this a very well sorted car. Photographs from its restoration are available along with many other receipts throughout its life in its history file, dating back to 1978.
This car is for the purist who has been looking for a standard correct GT fastback. An outstanding car that drives very well and is discreet in its GT specification.
