A beautiful W126 long wheel-base S-Class that has had just one registered keeper from new, covered 80, 000 miles and is in exceptional condition throughout.
Supplied by Alan Day Ltd of Finchley Road to a gentleman from Bishops Avenue, London, and chauffeur driven from new. In fact, the chauffeur’s peaked cap is still with the car.
Unusually but very attractively finished in straight ‘040’ Black, complimented by Anthracite velour trim, this S-Class is equipped with air conditioning, cruise control and walnut trim amongst the full list of options detailed below.
All original books and manuals come with the car including the service book, which shows a Full Service History comprising of 15 stamps. Recent work has included a complete gearbox overhaul and new valve stem seals. The last service was carried out less than 500 miles ago.
In terms of condition this W126 is simply superb and has evidently been garaged from new. The paintwork is immaculate, the brightwork unmarked and the body is corrosion free. The velour interior is in excellent condition with no fading to the woodwork, upholstery or instrument needles.
The 15-hole alloy wheels are unmarked and wear matching Michelins all round.
On the road this W126 drives beautifully; quiet, refined and is possessed of that presence and command that made the W126 the definitive S-Class.
Truly excellent W126s are few and far between today, but are becoming very sought after as one of Mercedes truly iconic cars.
This beautiful example has low ownership, mileage, is in superb order and with great provenance.
