This is a very hard car to find. A one owner C126 SEC that has covered just 53k miles from new with a full service history, always garaged and in absolutely immaculate original condition throughout.
Purchased from Mercedes Car & Truck Centre of North West London in October 1989 by its sole owner, this 420SEC was specified with Willow Green metallic paintwork and mushroom leather upholstery. It is equipped with electric/ heated seats, cruise control, 15-hole alloys and air conditioning.
Always garaged and always used sparingly as a second car, this SEC has survived in unmarked original condition and is certainly one of the best of its type to be found anywhere.
Still wearing its original dealer plates front and rear, along with the rear window dealer sticker, no number plate changes and zero previous keepers in the log book.
Having been always kept away from rain and salt, the body is amazing condition with zero corrosion. Immaculate paintwork and brightwork and original wheels wearing matching Michelin tyres all round (as was originally specified).
The interior is superb with no signs of fading or wear and is completely original down to the ribbed overmats and Blaupunkt stereo.
As you might expect with such a low mileage, this SEC drives fantastically well with a tautness, quietness and fluidity that is often lost on higher mileage examples.
This car has only ever been serviced by two garages throughout its life prior to us acquiring it – the supplying Mercedes main agent and subsequently one MB specialist. There are 14 stamps in the service book and we have just carried out a service.
When these cars were new, most buyers bought an SEC to drive rather than to preserve. As a result, there are very few truly excellent low mileage examples, which is a shame as today the SEC is seen as one of the most elegant designs of that era and has become extremely collectable.
