Description
In constant competition with Moto Guzzi, Gilera introduced the Nettuno 250 in 1946. The engine seemed tidy and monumental. The power grew from 1950 in the Sport version to 14 hp. The engine case and cover were polished. The chassis, thanks to the hydraulically damped Telegabel excellent. In contrast to the more than 27, 000 built Moto Guzzi Airone were built by the Nettuno only 3, 694 copies. This model from 1954 already has the modern rear suspension with conventional rear swing arm with hydraulic shock absorbers. Engine runs very well, original Italian documents are available.
