This wonderful low mileage Rolls Royce Corniche was supplied new by H. A Fox (Wadham Stringer) Ltd, 34 Dover Street, London W1 on the 23rd July 1974, finished in Scots Pine with Black leather upholstery, Green carpets and Black Everflex roof to a C C Miller Esq in Hartfield, Sussex. Rolls Royce Specification sheets also confirm the car was supplied with a Red fine coach line, Grey Ambla headlining, fog lamps and plain Sundym glass. The car has arrived with us from its most recent owner in Harrogate in very correct, factory original condition and has covered just 87, 000 miles from new.
YYY 123M is a very well sorted car with good history. Various invoices for maintenance during the 1980's are from London specialists T. J Shaw, parts invoices from the early 2000's are recorded from Jack Barclay Ltd and in more recent years Ghost Motors and Rolls Royce specialists Herne Motors in Canterbury have maintained the car. This lovely honest and original example first came to us in 2018 and after around £1500 of mechanical preparation, we sold the car to a Harrogate based Barrister who has covered in the region of 2000 faultless miles in the car. The Rolls Royce has toured the East Coast, attended events to include a classic car meet up in Beamish and has been thoroughly enjoyed during its recent ownership.
Further testament to the cars strong mechanical order is the fact that last summer the Rolls Royce was driven across Europe to Germany without hesitation. The Corniche is fabulous on the road with a perfectly smooth engine and gearbox and brakes, suspension and steering all feel first class. YYY 123M is a very impressive honest, original car and is very enjoyable to drive. The car presents very well with stunning, high quality paintwork, an excellent straight body, impressive chrome and the upholstery is beautifully presented. The Black leather seats are first class, carpets, headlining and door cards are clean and the Rolls Royce has a true feel of quality throughout. YYY 123M is on the button, ready to go and is ideal as proven for long distance touring or regular use.
