The bodywork is excellent. All shut lines, panel gaps and paint finish is very good and commensurate of an older restoration. The glass quality and chromes are excellent and the car is such a joy to behold. The last of the true GT Cars with Alfa’s Famous straight six engine.
The interior is much of the same story. The leather is in excellent condition having been completely re-trimmed. as is the beautiful hand stitched dash. All controls and buttons work perfectly and the interior is in excellent condition. The big ivory steering wheel sits proudly in the car. Way ahead of its time, this Alfa has electric windows and an upgraded Becker radio with electric aerial.
Mechanically the car is as good as you would imagine. The dcnf 45 Webber’s are tuned beautifully and the car starts from hot and cold. These were a £2500 upgrade in the mid nineties. Under acceleration the car performs really well and pulls very strongly with the best sound I have heard. It’s very Le Mans to be fair. The 2. 6 litre engine is very gutsy and this car drives amazingly well.
Having had a full engine, gearbox, differential and brake rebuild, no stone has been unturned on this car.
In conclusion, this is a superb car with super low mileage that has been stored perfectly. By far, the best we have seen. This car represents fantastic value for a fully sorted car that needs nothing but a new owner. Collector quality at its finest.
