1976 Panther De Ville 5. 3L V12 LHD
The Panther De Ville is a neo-classic luxury vehicle which was produced by Panther Westwinds, the British speciality maker, from 1974 to 1985. At the time of production the De Ville was the most expensive car on sale in the UK, it attracted several well known buyers including singer Elton John and actor Oliver Reed. The model was further made famous by its appearance as Cruella De Vil’s car in the Disney production: 101 Dalmatians. Its a hand built classic based on Jaguar XJ12 mechanicals making it easy to service and a pleasure to drive.
This particular car was the third De Ville produced by Panther and has an interesting history, originally being delivered in Beverly Hills, USA. Its rumoured first owner was Don Johnson, It then came to Europe when it was purchased by a German stuntman. Since then it has remained in the UK being cared for with no expense spared
Between 2003-2006 the car had a full mechanical restoration carried out by renowned Jaguar specialists JD Classics which cost in the region of £60, 000. This included re-wiring, full engine re-build etc. Recent repairs include a reconditioning of the transmission, a brake system overhaul and replacement of the vinyl roof. All receipts are present
The car has covered a total of 26k KM which equates to 16k Miles. It also now benefits from being MOT and road tax exempt.
Custom ordered in Metallic Costa Rica Brown with Cream side panelling, front and rear aprons. The bodywork remains in very good condition. Beautiful hrome bright work adorns the De Ville from front to rear and the bonnet ornament, a cluster of real amethysts is present and undamaged.
Cream leather, Bengal Brown carpet and a Walnut Dashboard, the Interior is stunning. Again, in very good order and boasts modern creature comforts such as electric windows and air conditioning.
It will be sold with the extremely rare Panther / Chronoswiss timepiece that it was originally delivered with.
