Description
Very reluctant sale of my 164 Cloverleaf 24V as I have insufficient space at home to park it now.
I have had the car for four years and used it just enough to keep it running nicely but have had much work done including: new wishbone bushes on the front suspension and rear lower arm bushes plus rear tie bar to hub bushes and the tracking reset.
The brakes have been bled and the rear calipers stripped and cleaned/ freed-off.
The previous owner had the car resprayed just before I got it and all the leather removed and cleaned. He sourced and fitted the correct pepper-pot wheels which are in good shape.
Prior to that the car spent much of its life in the South of France which is probably why it is so well preserved all round - lots of dry weather and no salty roads!
The car drives very well; the engine is a peach and it stops and steers just like the great sports saloon it always was. It has MOT until August 2021.
The only minor items that are less good are:
The odometer is so faint (common on these I gather) that it can be barely read now - the mileage given above is therefore not exact.
The air-conditioning does not work as the aircon pump has been bypassed. However the sunroof works fine! (And not driving the aircon pump means more power to the wheels.)
There are small marks on the grey plastic cladding here and there and the odd little blemish in the paint.
There were two advisories on the last MOT, neither serious.
I have tried to be as honest as possible here but there's always going to be something forgotten so please come and view. Any inspection welcome, as they say.
PS I'm a busy person, as I'm sure you are. Please don't call unless you have £5495 to spend right now on a car. I love talking Alfas but I don't have time to entertain someone who may buy such a classic once they have sold their current car or might do when they retire this time next year. And please, please, don't call if you don't have your wife's permission to get a car - if you haven't asked, it is because you know she'll say no. Cheers and thanks for looking.
