Craner Classics are now offering this immaculate Ford Anglia 105E, first registered in 1959, guaranteed one of the best condition Anglias of this era to be found. Ford built this version of the Anglia from 1959-1968. According to Wikipedia, "a new Anglia saloon tested by the British Motor magazine in 1959 had a top speed of 73. 8 mph... and fuel consumption of 41. 2 miles per imperial gallon." Back in the 1960s the car was celebrated for its strength and durability, although it's probably more popular today with classic car enthusiasts than ever before.
When it first appeared, the new Ford Anglia 105E, as well as a new exterior design, boasted the all-new straight-four Kent 997cc engine with overhead valves, a massive improvement on the old Anglia design. Many people will recognise the Ford Anglia from the popular Sunday-night TV series Heartbeat, which featured the early black version of the older Anglias for police cars, later changing over to this model - the popular Anglia 105.

This particular Ford Anglia is in near-concourse condition. It has excellent paintwork in nostalgic Pompadour Blue, with superb chromework and all new window rubbers; the car has been restored to a very high standard with no expense spared.
The interior is in truly outstanding order, including the roof lining and upholstery, and the dashboard also beautifully presented.
Under the bonnet the engine has been detailed to concourse level, it honestly looks as if it just came out of the factory, sixty years ago. The engine also performs fabulously well, and is coupled with a four-speed silky smooth manual transmission, with syncromeshes on all three top three gears.
