The car was sourced for a prominent Mercedes collection where simply the best world wide examples of various models were sourced without regard to cost. This 500SL was delivered new to Mercedes Benz of Hertford on 15th August 1988. Ordered in the striking combination of signal red with Mushroom hide, matching carpets & the optional leather rear seats, this well optioned car was also specified with:
