We are delighted to present this super cool and iconic Ford Rs2000. An amazing car with just 5 owners and 82k miles from new. A complete and straight example, this car will be a minor restoration for any true Ford fan. Presented in agate black with brown fish net racing seats. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an RS2000 at sensible money.
As you can see from the photographs the car presents quite well. The bodywork is in good/ straight order with not a huge amount of visible rust. The car was painted over 10 years ago and has held up well. Both rear arches have small bubbles appearing anud the tops of the front wings have micro blistering. When the car was painted, two doors were replaced and these are still absolutely perfect. Inside the engine bay will require attention. Both shock tops have corrosion and the top of the bulk head. This can be remedied without removing the engine. All black plastic moundings are in fantastic condition and have not deteriorated over time at all. The factory alloy wheels are not present and have been replaced with mini lite wheels which are as new.
As for the interior, she is in excellent condition. The seats are virtually unworn and the carpets appear are in excellent condition. The car has been dry stored for quite some time which helps as all seals are excellent. The head cloth is intact but will require tucking. The car still retains its original seats with are not collapsed and are still quite firm.
Mechanically the car starts and runs. The engine will need to be serviced and tuning. The car is free rolling but the brake calipers will need to be rebuilt at some point. Electronic ignition has been fitted along with a new exhaust.
On the road this car drives as you would expect. The gearbox is smooth with no noises and the engine does pull through the rev range. Clutch action is also good. The car feels taut with no suspension noise.
This is an excellent opportunity to acquire an affordable Ford RS2000. Yes, the car does require attention but this is an excellent way to get into a simple restoration project and acquire a limited production Ford.
