HERE is a truly lovely example of a rarely seen model these days - the "Arrow" Singer Vogue auto with that tried, tested and hugely admired Rootes Group 1725cc engine. Totally rock solid,, including superb steel wings, sills, door bottoms and arches, she is a genuine eye catching 60s classic.
Just today she has covered 50 miles-plus and 30 of those were on motorway. She ate up the miles with ease and was a delight at 70 mph. Put her into Drive mode and off she goes changing through the 3-speed box with comfort. These up-market Singers, with their "executive" wooden dash and door cappings remain highly sought after sprightly seventies saloons and it is extremely rare that you see one offered for sale. Really clean underneath too, she will make a welcome "family pet" at for an inexpensive outlay.
She is not a new car, nor is she a three-year-old used car. She is a piece of antique motoring history and, as such will have quirks and maybe even the odd fault. Anyway, she is what she is. These old gems - in this case 52-years-old - are sold as seen.
