History of this car
This is a 2nd series tipo 818. 650 Sport, so it has the 5 speed gearbox and all steel body; 2600 were made between 1970 and 72.
According to the full ownership history of this car we have on file, this rare Fulvia Sport is a southern Italian delivered Lancia registered new 21. 03. 1970 to the first owner by Bari Lancia official dealer Vincenzo e Marcello figli di Costantino Rocca.
In 1974 the Sport was sold to a new owner in Sicily and the Lancia stayed on the island until imported into the UK by us recently; it has therefore lived its entire life in a very dry environment.
Our car is finished in its original and very attractive orange “Rosso San Siro”, a colour more usually seen on the competition Zagato models. This is a matching numbers car with a recently rebuilt engine.
The Sport is fitted with desirable Cromodora magnesium alloy wheels, these wheels were an option on the 1600 Sport and standard on the 2000HF model.
Body
The Zagato body on this Lancia is very straight and corrosion free, with an excellent chassis, the floors having been replaced with pattern replacements at some point.
The wheels have been refinished recently and are perfect.
The paintwork was redone about 10 years ago and is of good quality, with a few age related chips and marks on closer inspection. Bumpers, trim and glass are all original again with a few marks and scratches; the overall presentation however is of a clean example.
Mechanicals
The matching numbers engine is still running in after a photo documented and receipted rebuild in 2017. At the same time, the clutch and exhaust were replaced and the carburettors were rebuilt. Recently the brakes have also received an overhaul.
Sale preparation has included the fitment of four new Michelin tyres and an oil and filter change.
The engine bay is very original, clean and correct.

Interior
This presents well with an undamaged dashboard, clear gauges, perfect steering wheel and original rubber floor matting. The seats and headlining have been recovered in the past, and are in good condition.
Boot
Fitted with matching Cromodora spare, correct Battaini jack and toolkit.
Summary
The Fulvia Sport is the most cost-effective way to get into ownership of a Zagato designed and built car. These very individualistic vehicles have a cult following, and this one is in a superb colour with a rock solid body and new engine. Supplied with an original owner’s handbook, original sales brochure and previous Italian number plates.
