A rare car, the Morris Twelve Four was only built by Morris Engines Limited for a few years. This fine example comes in a striking burgundy and black combination. In excellent mechanical condition, it has just had a carburettor overhaul - new float, new needle jet, etc.

This Morris has an excellent 4-cylinder, side-valve 1548cc engine and 4-speed synchromesh gearbox, and goes extremely well. It drives without fault, pulls up in a straight line and so on, and has a real vintage feel to it. Nevertheless it is comfortable to ride in, thanks to such features as Lockheed hydraulic brakes and Armstrong hydraulic shock absorbers, and its silent duplex roller chain. Add to this the open-air joy of its sliding head roof and this would make for an ideal wedding car. Most remarkable of all, this Morris Twelve Four is now 82 years old.
