18 month rebuild by skilled engineer in recent months.
The Ariel 250 LH model is a rare model and was only made for a short period of time.
Subsequently, many parts proved difficult to find, some impossible but being a clever engineer the last owner fancied the challenge, the gearbox was first then the engine with a new piston and rebore by Dragonfly, the rockers shafts had to be made from scratch and the valves were supplied by the very helpful Vale-Onslow Motorcycles.
The paint is fresh and the chrome all gleams like new.
Wheel rims are new British chrome rims with beautifully painted red centres with gold pin striping.
Wheel spokes are stainless.
New tyres fitted.
All electrics have been up graded.
Fitted with battery safety switch.
All paintwork is to show standard.
Exhaust system is full stainless.
New recon brake shoes.
All new levers.
All new cables.
Original rare helical twist grip with new very expensive rubbers ( Correct for year )
New tank knee rubbers.
New wiring/ battery and all switches.
Original headlight reflector and glass.
Engine fitted with a later Amal monoblock carb.
Most nuts and bolts correct British Cycle thread in stainless.
Starts and runs / rides well, no oil leaks.
All chrome is perfecto.
Fitted with top of the range tippers high quality pressed aluminium number plates.
Fitted with 1935 period Tax Disc + spares in folder.
Fully functioning and starts with very little effort.
Documentation:
DVLA V5c registration document, Keys, + Dozens of invoices from Dragon Fly Motorcycles and various others, Ariel club dating certificate stating all numbers as being correct from factory records.
The dating certificate also indicates a ( COPY OF ENTRY IN ARIEL WORKS DESPATCH BOOK )
