Here we have an immaculate, ready to show 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. This US dry state car underwent a full restoration in 2008 by US classic restorers ‘Southern Hot Rods LLC’. This car still remains in as new condition, covering less than 2000 miles since 2008. Part of a UK collection, always stored correctly in a de humidified garage when not in use.
This is a January 1965 car, finished in its original factory colours of Ragoon Red with a Black interior and a Black Crinkle vinyl soft top. This Mustang has the correct 289 V8 engine with the 4 speed auto gearbox. During the restoration the car was given the preferred ‘GT’ look front, along with the GT side stripes.
As soon as this car was in the UK, its was protected with a full Wax Oil treatment undeneath.

The bodywork and paintwork are immaculate. A deep all over shine with no dings or dents. The quality of the restoration is clear, all arches / sills / underbody areas are also immaculate. The paintwork has the perfect finish, still looking as fresh today as it did in 2008.
The interior looks as good as the outside. The seats / carpets / dash are all in excellent condition, everything working as it should. There is nothing quite like an interior from this period, I absolutely love the chrome switch gear and dials, its just excellent.
The polished wheels are all unmarked condition and fitted with matching tyres.

The soft top is so simple to use. Just un clip the front and push the button, it opens in seconds.
The V8 engine performs perfectly, plenty of power and a fantastic V8 engine note. The auto gearbox provides smooth gear changes and the suspension and brakes all feel and perform as they should.
This Mustang has only had 1 UK owner, cherished and looked after this car from 2008. Also looking at the documentation we have from the US, it was in very long term ownership there as well.
If you are looking for an outstanding example, to enjoy as your weekend classic, or perhaps to add to any collection, this is as good as they come, its superb.
