Volkswagen Golf GTI, year 1979. Chassis number the details belowX, engine number EG 14131X. Engine type 17 EG1. Colour silver metallic combined with a black cloth interior. The seats feature the legendary checkered grey / red fabric and the roof lining is black. The automobile was refurbished in Germany in the period 2014-2016. The automobile was imported to the Netherlands in 2017 where the car has known one owner. Original Golf GTI series 1 cars are hard to find these days. The Golf GTI has become a legend and the series 1 has drawn the attention of collectors globally. This Golf GTI is in very good condition and the car drives delightfully. All the original GTI details are present; the red strip around the grille, the GTI badges, the special front spoiler, the wheel arch trim, the special seats, steering wheel and the special GTI shift knob which is shaped like a Golf-ball!
