Much has been written over the years about Suzuki Motorcycles “T20” or as we knew it here in the UK the “Super Six”. About how it put Suzuki on the map and how advanced it was for its time being the first standard production motorcycle to have six gears and a two stroke “Auto lube” system etc etc and how successful these great little bike have been on race tracks such as the Isle of Man over the years. Even such luminaries as J Lehto has one in his collection, such are their desirability to the collectors of the world!
All this makes one for sale a rare commodity, especially a UK model such as this lovely example. Having stood as part of two private collections for decades, we were fortunate enough to be allowed to purchase it. Now after new fork seals, the fuel tank being professionally flushed and sealed plus the carburettors sonically cleaned, new spark plugs and off it went like a Swiss watch, all be it a noisy one!
The last V5 that was issued was in 1997 and there is just the one keeper recorded on that, we do have its original V5 and that shows two others so really it can be said it has 3 recorded keepers although we know that to be at least 2 more.
Now while no it is not mint, as it has picked up the odd mark from being used and stored, it is in very very nice condition and with top flight examples being priced at £8k we feel the price reflects its overall condition, while leaving some room for its next owner to take to the next (show) level if that’s their wish. But please bear in mind, this is a 53 year old two stroke motorcycle, you WILL need to fettle it and look after it, if you cannot do this then please just buy a new 125cc Honda scooter.
