A beautiful R129 SL finished in rare Aquamarine Blue contrasted by Mushroom leather, powered by the 500 engine and equipped with the desirable panoramic hardtop. Just 79k miles have been covered since new and backed up by an impeccable service history.
First registered on January 31st of 1997 by MB main dealer, Mistral Cars of Portsmouth, this SL500 is a desirable ’96-98 model with the earlier M119 engine coupled to the later, electronically controlled five-speed gearbox. Importantly this version of SL does not suffer from the wiring harness issues of earlier cars.
Aside from the panoramic roof, this car came nicely equipped with heated, memory seats and rear seats along with the usual climate control, cruise control and so on.
There have been five owners in the last 22 years covering 79k miles and was previously supplied by ourselves. This is backed up by a superb service history comprising of 19 stamps from the supplying main dealer and a well-respected MB specialist. In addition to the service booklet there is a large folder of receipts to detail the servicing/ work carried out.

Beautiful original condition throughout. Superb body, original hood in excellent order, unmarked wheels wearing matching Michelins.
Similarly, the interior is in fantastic original condition. It drives beautifully as you would expect. They really are a fabulous GT car, capable of covering great distances in style, comfort and speed.
In summary this is an R129 SL that ticks a lot of boxes – 500, five-speed and panoramic roof – and is in superb condition with sensible miles and a comprehensive history to boot. It demands nothing of its next owner other than to enjoy it.
