The Singer Junior was a very popular car by 1930s standards, when Singer was the third-largest UK car manufacturer, but today it has become an incredibly rare car - the Singer Owner's Club told us this was the only one on their register. We'd love to hear from anyone who has one or knows of another one. So this is pretty much a unique vehicle and great fun to drive and draws admirers everywhere.
The 848cc OHC engine is paired with a three-speed crash gearbox, and the car performs beautifully. In fact, one version of the car became known as the Porlock Sports after climbing the 1:4-gradient Porlock Hill 100 times in 15 hours! Amazingly, the larger Tourer version, running the same engine, achieved 45mph back in 1926, which was truly impressive at that time.
The car has been painstakingly restored from its former neglected state and now represents a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of motoring history for the vintage enthusiast.
