First registered in November 86 by Whitestone Mercedes on the Isle of Man, this 300SL was finished in Astral Silver with black leather interior and a black fabric roof. It’s equipped with cruise control, rear seats, headlamp wash/ wipe, OTG and a fire extinguisher.
The car remained on the Isle of Man until it was registered in the mainland UK in 2011 and sold by a well-known SL specialist in 2012. Only five owners from new and the mileage today stands at 149, 895 miles.
All books and manuals and a service history that runs from 1998 to date, comprising of 16 entries and a folder of corresponding bills.
Recent work has included all new injectors and seals, all new brake calipers, pads and flexible hoses, a new heater blower motor and new engine mounts.
The body is solid in the important areas including the bulkhead. The paintwork is very smart and the interior original and in good order throughout. The original hard top comes with the car and is in good order, however the hood is a little tired and could be replaced.
On the road this SL drives very nicely and the engine performs well.
