This Mark 3 1. 6-litre Ford Escort Ghia has had just one former keeper since it was first registered in 1982. When these were launched the Ford Escort was already famous throughout the world, and had become one of the most popular cars worldwide too. They were marketed as a small family car which was reliable and cheap to run. The Mark 3 was a big change from the Mark 2 in terms of shape and featured a completely overhauled CVH engine.
Ours here is the top-of-the-range model, being the Ghia, signifying the best trim and all bells and whistles. The interior is very clean, and the underside of the car and engine bay are also in excellent condition. As such this is a very affordable classic car which will surely increase in value over time.
