As Audi's first supercar, the R8 won instant and universal approval for its inspired design and incredible performance.
Matching permanent Quattro four-wheel-drive with a lightweight rigid spaceframe, Audi engineered a perfect formula for their new flagship model. Featuring an all-aluminium chassis and carbon fibre centre tub, the hi-tech structure was powered by a mid-mounted and gloriously free-revving V10 powerplant. It was this balance and combination which provided the R8 with sublime levels of performance and road holding and led 6-time Le-Mans winner Jacky Ickx to claim the V10 powered R8 as "the best handling road car today".
With the incredible V10 producing 530bhp without the need for turbo-charging, 0-62mph sprints were achieved in less than 3. 6 seconds. Audi’s aero-space technology and renowned levels of engineering meant this ultimate version of the R8 Spyder would offer the perfect combination of open top motoring with performance capable of embarrassing many of its rivals.
This 2012 registered Facelifted example is finished in immaculate pearlescent Suzuka Grey paintwork with black leather interior and contrasting white stitching and black convertible roof. The immaculate condition of all aspects including paintwork, interior, alloys and mechanicals help to demonstrate how this R8 Spyder has been cared for.
