Beschreibung
We are delighted to offer this much-cherished 1964 Humber Sceptre Mark I in two-tone coffee and cream. The car currently has MOT until July next year, and comes complete with its original buff logbook.
The Humber Sceptre was the family man's sports car of the 1960s. The 1600cc engine runs superbly, and helps the car keep up with modern traffic. It has a solid but responsive feel to it.
The original owner, a Mr. Kosky of Harefield, Middlesex, sold the car to its second owner in 1976, who then held on to the car for nearly 40 years. This particular Humber Sceptre is one of the rarer models, a very early version distinguishable by the position of fuel filler neck.
This Sceptre has clearly been well maintained, and the close-ups of the valances emphasise the impressive condition of the paintwork, with the arches, sills and front wings all completely rust-free.
The interior is also in outstanding condition, with freshly fitted carpets.
Mark 1 Humber Sceptres have become a very desirable classic car and rarely come up for sale nowadays, with prices steadily rising. This well-preserved specimen is priced at a very reasonable £7, 495 for a quick sale.
