Volkswagen Beetle Split Screen Custom 1951
Not original, rebuilt from good parts.
Inspected (MOT/ TUV) on 8/ 28/ 2020 with the 1915cc engine.
Requires a little more work to complete.
Extensive sheet metal and modification work, seams on the shell and base were tinned and blown with glass, followed by epoxy primer putty primers and topcoat.
Rag sunroof.
The rear seat has been removed and replaced by a so-called full width wheel arch.
All parts new or refurbished.
Substrate parts blown and painted with PUR.
Full height and damping adjustable coilovers suspension with Gaz products, rack and pinion control.
2? narroved front axles of tapered balls, axle mounting, i. e. frame end raised 40mm.
IRS rear axle, full rear axle raised 60mm. Rear support arms tapered 35mm.
Single-bladed IRS transmission 3. 88 at the rear, shorter chromo drive shafts type-2 with 100mm joints.
Disc brakes on every corner, with 42mm pistons perforated in the front. Teflon steel braided hoses.
Weld Racing race alloy wheels (really light) with 90- and 89-year stamps, front 3 and rear 8, tires 135/ 70 R15 and 235/ 60 R15
Career bumpers
12v electricity, Otima yellow top battery
Interior re-upholstered, Sparco Monaco seating.
etc. etc.
Safety roll arches can be removed if desired (are bolted on.
The rear side windows can be changed with standard if you want those scoops off, included with the car.
