Description
In constant competition with Moto Guzzi, Gilera presented the Nettuno 250 in 1946. The engine looked tidy and monumental. From 1950, the performance of the Sport version increased to 14 hp. The engine cases and covers were polished. The chassis, thanks to the hydraulically damped telescopic fork, is excellent. In contrast to the more than 27, 000 Moto Guzzi Airones built, only 3, 694 of the Nettuno were built.
This Nettuno Sport was first registered in 1954. For years the motorcycle was in a collection that has now been dissolved. With the magneto now outdated, the engine starts immediately and drives fine.
