Produced for a staggering 18 years, it’s fair to say that the R107 SL was a popular car in its time, and not much has changed.
This beautiful 1987 example has been maintained to the very highest standard over its life and its outstanding condition belies the odometer reading of 144k miles.
The red paint holds a smooth and deep lustre and the impressive condition of the bodywork is thanks largely to its pampered life of only ever being kept indoors in a garage.
Inside, the Sports Check interior is still remarkably fresh and the car has the added bonus of an upgraded wood rim steering wheel.
The super smooth 3. 0 six cylinder still performs faultlessly and the car drives beautifully.
There is an extensive history file with the car (possibly one of the largest we have seen!) and, together with the original sales invoice for the car, the original dealer sticker in the rear window has been retained, too.
