Motodrome are pleased to offer this charming 1954 Land Rover Series 1 86in softtop, in 3 seater configuration, in Bronze Green with green seats and tan hood.
An original UK car, this one is fitted with freewheel front hubs, a matching set of 600x16 tyres, parabolic springs, side hinged tailgate, rear mudflaps and towbar.
This one was rebuilt from the chassis up by a family friend around 20 years ago, and is now nicely patinated. When he found it derelict in 1997, it didn’t have an engine, so he rebuilt and fitted a Series 2a 2. 25 petrol motor, which runs like a swiss watch.
Odometer reading 59500 miles, and the V5 shows only 4 previous keepers – not bad for a 66 year old. Last owner past 23 years.
The hood is a little past it’s best (although hasn’t been on the vehicle much as he’s kept it garaged) , with a small hole in the top over the load area, but I think this could be patched.
