NOW SOLD - YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK WHEN THEY ARE THIS CHEAP, Just before lock down we have taken this SL in from its elderly owner who unfortunately had small accident with a box van in August where the van swiped the whole of the nearside, causing damage to front wing, passenger door, rear wing and as it passed clipping the Windscreen trim which cracked the front screen in the lower corner, see photos. The customer was paid out by the insurance company and the vehicle was classified as a CAT N non structural repaired vehicle and initially he wanted to keep the car as he had already spent a lot of money on the car over the last 5 years, by having the interior seats re trimmed in beige leather, replacement hood and having the car repainted plus service work etc.. The owner wanted £6, 000 for the Mercedes but the best offer we have had through the trade as is at present is £4950, which fulls short, so we have agreed to list the car on online auction from 2nd December from £4950 without reserve and hoping to realise £6, 000 for him. The car has damage to nearside front wing which will need repair or replacement wing, repair to passenger door, repair to nearside rear quarter, replacement front indicator lens, front bumper straitening, near side mouldings, Windscreen replacement and trim around Windscreen. There is no out alignment on inner wings, suspension etc.. and drives well. The Mercedes comes with original Hand Book and wallet, Service Book with original supply from SG Smiths Mercedes Main Dealer after personal import from the factory in Germany, 20 Service Entries with 13 main dealer stamps and 7 Specialist Mercedes stamps last serviced at 91050 miles on 10/ 02/ 2019. The rest of the paintwork looks sound, albeit the enthusiastic owner unknowingly covered in blankets over winter which has caused some micro blistering on the flat surfaces of the paintwork, but looks good from 6 feet away. The SL is now eligible for historic road tax and mot exemption albeit current MOT runs to January 2021. We are selling this vehicle a SPARES OR REPAIR ONLY and are not putting through workshop for Pre sales check or service, so the vehicle will have to removed by transporter ONLY which we can arrange for you for £2. 50 per mile from our address, example if you live 50 miles away cost of delivery is £125. 00. You are welcome to collect with your own transporter but we are not permitted to let anyone drive onto the public highway from our premises, albeit the SL is road legal to use and was driven into us.
