1966 Mercedes-Benz W108 250S
Undoubtedly one of the finer ways to skirt London’s dreaded ULEZ charge with comfort and panache, this 1966 Mercedes-Benz W108 250S is a great example of a most sought after usable classic.
Imported from France in 2015 and fully UK registered, this left hand drive example is finished in Horizon Blue and as a four speed manual variant is a lesser seen model. Ordered new by a director of Air France, the car even featured Air France front seat belts when it arrived in the UK before being upgraded to upgraded period style units - as we’d always recommend - which are included with the car.
The car was extensively refurbished between 1993 and 2000, though not at the extent of the car’s character and originality. The original MB Tex interior and Becker Avus radio remain, while the original wooden dash was refurbished in 2016 by specialists Silchester Garage.
The car benefits from a recent new heater and fan, radiator, Bilstein shocks and carburettor reconditioning and drives superbly today. Though the car is MOT exempt, the current owner still had the car tested and it passed with no advisories.
If we had the luxury of keeping all the cars we get in stock this one would be pressed into daily driver duty straight away, and a period correct Air France sticker would be sourced immediately for the rear window . A comparatively affordable example of timeless design, available for viewing at our West London showroom now.
