1993 Mercedes S500
This remarkable W140 S500 long wheel-base has covered just 29k miles from new with one owner until 2018.
Supplied new by Normand, Mayfair to a customer in Kensington, this S500 was specified with Smoke Silver metallic paintwork, Mushroom leather interior trim. It has climate control, electric seats (driver’s with memory), heated seats soft-close and folding mirrors amongst the full spec detailed below.
When new it was supplied with a telephone, as was de rigueur back in ’93, and that is still in place today.
The car is in beautiful original condition throughout. Commensurate with the mileage the body and interior are superb. The underside is worth a mention in particular as it is in amazing condition with zero corrosion, factory paint marks all visible and perfect factory brake and fuel lines.
Having remained in the same ownership for 25 years but having covered less than 30k miles, we acquired the car and carried out a major recommission. As part of this work all engine bay wiring harnesses have been replaced as is required on this era of MB. All tyres have been replaced with new Continentals, the air conditioning has been serviced and all fluids and filters replaced.
All original books and manuals, including the phone manual, come with the car. Two remote keys. Clear HPI certificate. Full service history with accompanying bills.
Early W140 S-Classes are very hard to find in this condition with such a low mileage. We are big fans of them and think in many ways they represent peak Mercedes as they are so incredibly well built and refined to drive.
