Description
1968 Benelli (Motobi) Imperiale 125 cc Single Four Stroke , Frame number 15430560 , Italy’s oldest surviving motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli was founded in 1911 by the six Benelli brothers, the oldest of whom, Giuseppe, left in 1949 to start his own company – Moto ‘B’ Pesaro, later Motobi. Horizontal engine layouts would characterise Motobi motorcycles . In the early 1950s a new range of all-aluminium engines were introduced the shape resembling an egg or rugby ball, and this style was deliberately retained when Motobi switched to overhead-valve four-strokes towards the decade’s end. Six years after Giuseppe’s death in 1957, Motobi merged with Benelli . Our example is beautiful and prettier example would be difficult to find . Recently acquired from an Italian bike collection this Motobi 125 Four Stroke must be the best available . Fitted with electronic ignition . Supplied with V5C and expired MOT certificates . Delivery and Shipping arranged £5495
