1975 BMW 2002 For Sale
The BMW 2002 was produced from 1968-1975. The base model 2002 had a single carburetor and it produced 101 horsepower. The next model up was the 2002TI that was fitted with twin solex carburetors. In 1969 BMW made an improvement by adding a three speed automatic transmission to their 2002's. The next upgrade BMW made to their 2002's was in 1971 by adding fuel injection to the engine. These cars are called the 2002TII. BMW had the smaller euro style bumpers on all the cars until the 1974 came out. 1974 and 1975 2002's had the bigger bumpers for safety reasons. Production was stopped in 1975 to make way for the new BMW E21.
This 1975 BMW 2002 had just come out of long term ownership. This car comes with a factory sunroof. As far as we know and told is that the engine and automatic transmission are original to the vehicle. This vehicle does run and drive. Previous owner had changed the carburetor to a weber and installed an electric fuel pump. Original air cleaner is included with the sale. Comes with power disc brakes on the front and drums in the rear. Has four BMW wheels that all match and has the center caps. Comes with the factory spare tire. Factory jack and other tools are there.
The interior on the vehicle is in decent shape. The dash doesn't have any cracks in it. Has the original BMW gauges. The gauges are working as they should. Has manual wind up windows. The seats are in decent shape. Has a cover over the sunroof. The original steering wheel is currently on the vehicle, but does come with an aftermarket wheel as well. This car is fairly solid. There are a few small rust spots but nothing major. The floor pan, shock towers and spare wheel well is solid with no rust. The glass is all in good shape other than the windshield which does have a chip in it. Originally came out of the dry state of Arizona and comes with a clean title.
