This is an excellent, rust free, matching numbers 1990 Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth 4x4 which has covered just 66, 818 miles since new and with a full service history. Still wearing all of its original factory fitted body panels and glass.
It has just had a full service including cam belt, water pump, new high performance HT leads, coolant, brake fluid, 4 brand new Toyo Proxes and a fresh mot. It is needing nothing and is ready to be used and enjoyed. It is running standard specification apart from a stainless steel exhaust and koni shocks. The service history file contains stacks of invoices from over the years and shows at least 4 cam belt changes.
Lowered by 2 inches all round and still wearing all of its factory fitted body panels, this lovely RS sits perfectly. The Flint Grey metallic is consistent across all panels and still retains a lovely shine. A few touched in stone chips will be found upon closer inspection and are totally within keeping with a 66k mile example. All factory fit tinted glass is still fitted and is security etched with the engine number. The tilt and slide factory sunroof is completely clear of any water marking or rust patches. Head lights and factory tinted rear lenses are free from any cracks or damage. All rubbers are still supple and crack free. The inner wings, scuttle panel, cross member, inner arches, A-posts, floor pans, chassis, boot floor etc are are completely corrosion free. This is a super example.
Internally again is excellent. The Raven leather Recaro sports seats are in super order. The bolsters are still nice, with only a bit of softening to the lower outer drivers seat. The leather is excellent and free from scuffs, damage or excessive wear. The dash board is lovely... it is completely un-cracked and it is completely straight. The deep pile carpet is nice and clean and all switch gear and dials are working perfectly. The original Ford sound system is still in place and the security code is within the history file.
The original 15" alloy wheels are in good condition and are all shod with brand new Toyo Proxes.
Out on the road, it performs faultlessly and sounds superb. It drives nice and tight and boosts perfectly. The gear box is precise and there are no knocks or bangs. It is mechanically perfect...
Complete with current V5, 2 original keys, a host of historic mot certificates, stacks of old invoices and receipts, stamped service book and complete hand book pack. This is a lovely example and is good in all the right places.
