A very fine example of the Austin 1100, just arrived at Craner Classics. Presented in a rich, lustrous dark green, this car conjures up all the magic of Austin's 1960s cars. This one here has sharp wheel arches all round, rock solid - please see the photos.
The chromework is in magnificent order, and the wheel trims are smooth and unpitted, the lights are all remarkably clear, and everything contributes to the car's overall poise.
Wonderfully sober interior, practical yet comfortable. Everything about the inside of the car is well-proportioned and wonderfully relaxing, as well as stunningly well preserved - the bench seats, the pristine door cards, the neat instrument panel and dashboard, the unmarked carpets. This 1100 has clearly been cherished.
The car has a cracking engine and gearbox - it simply drives just how this little 1100 should; it's lovely. With this size engine, and the single carb, it gives brilliant fuel economy, and is very easily capable of keeping pace with modern traffic. The engine bay is spotless and the underside is also rock solid and corrosion-free.
There are years of glorious motoring left in this little 1100.
