The Austin Princess is a series of luxury cars that were produced by Austin and its Vanden Plas subsidiary from 1947 to 1968. If the concept of a mini Rolls-Royce escapes you, know that this is exactly what Austin did in the 1960s. The Austin Princess 1100 was launched in 1963 as a luxury variant of the BMC ADO16. The Vanden Plas Princess 1100 benefits from a square grille with vertical bars, fog lamps on either side of the grille, and an interior trim in keeping with other models from the marque (leather seats, dashboard and door card trim in polished walnut, picnic tables behind the front seats). The Vanden Plas Princess 1100 innovates with such a level of luxury in the compact car category.
