This must be the most enchanting Ford Prefect avialable. It just makes you feel so happy looking at it. In this Sky Blue and Cloud White colour combination, and all those soft edges it harks back to the glorious 1950s era. The bumpers have all been rechromed to contribute to the newly-restored look of the car. Yet it will fit in any garage - it's an ideal classic car that takes up very little space.
This is a really magical car - it's in incredibly fine order, and it's colour-coordinated from top to bottom - seats, steering wheel and column, doorcards, sills, whitewall tyres. The seats, carpet and roof lining are in outstanding condition. A former show-winner and still a show-stopper, the engine bay is just as clean and well-curated as the rest of the car. The engine itself is an 1172cc front seidevalve engine, and together with the lightness of the car performs so well that these Prefect were a hit amongst the Hot Rod scene. Nevertheless they were quite economical, giving 33mpg. Independent coil suspension at the front enhances ride quality. This one has undergone an engine rebuild so it should continue to perform excellently for many years to come.
While the mechanicals of the car are sound, for us it's the overwhelming physical appeal of the car which is sure to make whoever buys it treasure it as a thing of beauty it put a smile on their face.
