Delivered new to Mr Dowdy of Ingatestone through Chrysler Jeep Dealer Hadleigh Carport of Leigh on Sea in Essex who kept the Jeep until August 2004 when he sold it to Mr Orange of Chelmsford Essex.
Mr Orange kept the Jeep for 12 years until May 2016 when it was sold to Mr Nickols of Chelmsford who has owned it until the present day, so just three owners in over 22 years and all the original V5C documents are present in the history file. Nice to know that the Jeep has spent its whole life in the same county.
Having covered only 119k in those 22 years (5400 per year ) and maintained to an extremely high standard as you can imagine it drives without fault.
The rear axle and diff are silent and everything works as it should, pulling superbly through the gears and drives without a single knock or thump even over rough surfaces.
Drives beautifully with the cruise control on at 75mph on the motorway while receiving many admiring looks, XJ`s are a rare sight these days, but ones in excellent condition are even rarer.
Personally collected by myself as with all my cars and driven from Essex back home to Holcot which is just under 100 miles it performed superbly as all well maintained XJ models do. This will be the 27th XJ I have sold and this is one is just lovely
The 4WD gearbox works as it should and illuminates the dashboard lights correctly, in fact all the oils have just been changed including the gearbox and diff.
The interior is in lovely order with factory overmats in place which cover superb carpets throughout including the cargo area which again is in lovely condition
The headliner is again perfect without a hint of sagging with all interior roof lights working as they should ( subtlely upgraded to LED units which give an enormous advantage at night
The Moss green paintwork is in fantastic order without a spot of corrosion, and I must say this is my favourite colour for this model, reflecting a lovely yellow gold hue when the sun catches it, just as the name Moss green suggests.
