motodrome offer for sale this Land Rover Defender 90 with TD5 power, smartly finished in White with Black roof, rebuilt around a galvanised chassis.
This one is in 3 seater spec
Fitted with: black boost alloys with a matching set of 4 BFG Mud terrain tyres, galvanised rock/ tree sliders, Mantec snorkel, black chequerplate to wingtops, sliding rear windows, alpine lights, towpack, and rear mudflaps.
Inside it has 3 seats across the front, a stereo, and chequerplated load area.
Whilst this one carries the identity of a 1991 vehicle, on examination it is, to all intents and purposes, a 2002 to 2006 TD5. We think it was rebuilt around the galvanised chassis sometime between 2012 and 2016, and it’s likely whoever built it had an unsaveable 1991 model, and also a 2002-06 model that was in good shape bar the chassis, and therefore built one vehicle out of the two around a galvanised chassis. . Why they kept the identity of the 1991 car is unclear, but DVLA seem to be aware of it's history as the V5 shows date of registration in the UK as 01/ 03/ 2004 but declared manufactured 1991. Before anyone asks, a) it came to us like this from a very reputable and trustworthy source, and b) it’s clear on the Experian database.
Odometer reading 128000 miles, which we think is the mileage of the mechanical components at least, and it seems to have covered around 25000 miles since rebuild.
